As a Reiki Pracitioner, from the very first day I started my studies I understood the connection between the endocrine system and the hand positions used during a session.For me to be able to remember and catogorize information in a way that worked for me, I used the Charka system for reference. I understood that certain hand postions were being used over the charkas for energy transfer. What I needed was the missing part.....the organs that corresponded. Each of those involved in Reiki happen to be within the Endocrine system. Thus started my long search for a proper reference book.Most reference books on the different systems of the body fall into 2 catagories. Textbooks meant for pre-med, nursing and medical students. They seemed to include more than what I was looking for, and were very expensive. The others were meant for young readers.With this book I found what I wanted and needed. it focused solely on the one topic. While not as expensive as other medical reference books, it was steep.
