So if you’re a beginner to all these terms like melting. Bleaching knots, the headband is not a headband, etc this is is ME! So it’s not perfect but I think I did pretty well.So starting with hair…Length ordered 18”: after unpacking it looked very thin and definitely shorter than expected. I ordered an 18” knowing I usually like about 16. It felt more like a 14ish in the front and maybe if pulled really hard in the back a 18 but it’s not all over. Upside for me I didn't require cutting in the front. So if you’re looking for overall length take that into consideration.HAIR DENSITY- seemed thinner than I would’ve liked but once fluffed out it was betterTEXTURE: perfect texture and very soft. Smelled like it had been given a good conditioning. I like the kinky edges - I feel like it matches my texture better. FYI- I’m a kinky texture wearer. I don’t like straight or wavy. I go for the “is that her hair look”.COLOR: out of the box it’s a 1-1B. I like 1B with reddish highlights (1B/30). I feel like all black washes out my skin. So now is time to test highlights.I used Blue powder with 40 developer. Streaked throughout with a little heavier in the front around the face. Left it on about 15-20min and it did fine. I wanted it to lift a little more but I was afraid to leave it on too long. But it turned out fine. The texture did not change nor the softness.INSTALL: so here’s where I’m not the greatest. It has combs and a band. It comes with the “headband”. Wish I would’ve opened the package before going to the beauty supply store. Anyway, the lace blends very well. It didn’t take a lot of work to match. I used lace spray glue around the edges, dried it on cool setting and then positioned the lace exactly where I wanted and then put the head band on. I left it on about 20 min and the result is in the picture. I did add a little concealer in my skin tone to the part and edges but it blended pretty well. You be the judge. If I need to do something different let me know.The only con- this far. I plan to do a 4 week update to see if the hair is still the same.It did shed more than I would’ve expected before doing any coloring.
